Crypto investment products have recorded four weeks of inflows, as the market eagerly awaits the possible approval of a spot Bitcoin (BTC) exchange-traded fund (ETF) in the United States.
Asset management firm CoinShares’ Oct. 23 fund flows report revealed $179 million was added to digital asset investment products in the week ending Oct. 20, which has swelled the space’s assets under management to $33 billion.
Of the past week’s inflows, $55.3 million or 84% went to Bitcoin investment products which has brought year-to-date Bitcoin product inflows to $315 million, it added.
It seems that the anticipation of a spot #Bitcoin ETF has prompted further inflows for the 4th consecutive week. Here is our analysis with @Jbutterfill.
CoinShares Head of Research James Butterfill however noted that the recent week’s inflows still haven’t reached the levels seen earlier this year when BlackRock first filed for a spot Bitcoin ETF.
“While the most recent inflows are likely linked to excitement over a spot Bitcoin ETF launch in the U.S., they are relatively low in comparison to the initial inflows following BlackRock’s announcement in June.”
Butterfill added thaJune’s four-week inflow run saw $807 million enter the sector and the lower inflows recently “are indicative of investors adopting a more cautious approach this time.”

Meanwhile, Solana (SOL) products caught the second-largest share of inflows last week and the largest of all altcoins, netting $15.5 million. Ether (ETH) products saw outflows of $7.4 million — the only altcoin to suffer outflows last week.
More recently, interest in a spot Bitcoin ETF surged late on Oct. 23 amid “positive signs” that BlackRock’s ETF was a step closer to approval and a U.S. Appellate Court issued a mandate to the Securities and Exchange Commission to review Grayscale’s spot Bitcoin ETF filing.
The moves sparked a Bitcoin rally which saw it gain 14% over the past 24 hours and briefly hit $34,000 for the first time since May 2022.
The price jump also saw over $193 million in Bitcoin short liquidations in the past 24 hours, according to CoinGlass data.
University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) football coach Jeff Traylor hoped to motivate his team not to “eat the cheese” after back-to-back victories over Temple and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, but instead he got injured in the process.
Traylor revealed during a press conference Monday that he and his staff put out more than 100 rat traps in the team’s locker room, hoping to channel the messaging of Hall of Fame coach Bill Parcells.

Unfortunately for him, one of his players planted a loaded trap on his podium.
“We unloaded all of them, but one of my smart aleck seniors loaded his back up, put it up on the podium where I speak to the kids, and I put my hand there – yeah, it looks like my pinky got smashed by a hammer.”
“It would’ve killed a lesser man, but I’m OK,” he said with a laugh.

Despite the injury, Traylor’s message was well received.
Quarterback Frank Harris overcame a pick-6 and threw for 261 yards and two touchdowns to defeat Florida Atlantic, 36-10, on Saturday.

The Arizona Diamondbacks have forced Game 7 in the NLCS after defeating the Philadelphia Phillies on the road, 5-1, Monday night.
With their backs against the wall after dropping Game 5 over the weekend, the Diamondbacks wasted no time getting after Phillies starter Aaron Nola, who has been nails throughout the postseason.
It was Tommy Pham, who was publicly frustrated that he wasn’t in the lineup for Game 5, getting the D-Backs on the board first in the game. Facing a two-strike count, Pham slammed a hanging breaking ball from Nola over the left field fence to lead off the second inning with a solo home run.

That hit sparked something in the Arizona dugout as Lourdes Gurriel Jr. launched one to left on the next at-bat – both Gurriel and Pham hit their second homers of the postseason.
After an Alek Thomas walk, 38-year-old Evan Longoria roped a double that scored the speedy outfielder to run up the score quickly to 3-0 without an out recorded by the Phillies in the second.
Philadelphia would bounce back in the bottom frame, though, as J.T. Realmuto led off with a double and Brandon Marsh singled him home to get the Phillies on the board, 3-1.
That run, though, is all Merrill Kelly and the rest of the Arizona pitching staff would allow to a tough Phillies lineup at home.
Kelly has been someone who the D-Backs have leaned on all season long, making him the perfect starter in a must-win game to keep the year alive. He went five innings, giving up three hits and an earned run while striking out eight and walking three.

It also helped that the D-Backs’ offense provided some insurance with more runs in the top of the fifth and seventh, both provided by the hotter hitter on the team: Ketel Marte.
In the fifth, Marte tripled to right field off Nola, and Corbin Carroll raced around the bases from first to score for a 4-1 lead. Then Marte singled home Geraldo Perdomo for his seventh RBI of the postseason to make it 5-1.
The D-Backs used a plethora of relievers to secure the victory, including Paul Sewald striking out two Phillies in the bottom of the ninth to let Arizona live another day.
The top of the Phillies’ lineup – Kyle Schwarber, Trea Turner and Bryce Harper – were uncharacteristically non-factors at home. They were a combined 0-for-9 with three walks and four strikeouts. Nick Castellanos was also 0-for-4 with two strikeouts.

Game 7 will surely have Citizens Bank Park in a frenzy Tuesday night when Ranger Suarez will get the ball for the Phillies while Brandon Pfaadt gets it for the D-Backs. Everyone, though, will be available to make sure their team punches a ticket to the World Series.

Adelle Nazarian is the top staffer at the American Blockchain PAC, where she serves as its CEO. But she has a long story to tell about her life prior to her time in the crypto industry — from her Persian roots to her career in journalism.
Nazarian, who worked as a freelance journalist after serving in positions with mainstream outlets that included Fox News and CNN, said her work contributed to her disillusionment with the media. “Working in journalism was really eye-opening for me because I witnessed how divisive and activist-oriented it’s become,” she said in an interview with Cointelegraph.
She said her desire to work in a role that contributed to people’s betterment was one of the driving factors that led her to the American Blockchain PAC in 2021, saying, “I saw Bitcoin as being one way of providing an opportunity to people everywhere in the world to pull themselves up in life.”
1) Your family fled from Iran before the Iranian Revolution, but you’ve never visited. Do you speak Farsi? Tell us more about your background.
My parents were both born in Tehran, Iran and emigrated to the United States when they were young. My father was 15 and my mother was 12. I was raised speaking Farsi and English. (I also speak Mandarin Chinese and French.) It is one of my dreams to visit Iran someday in the future. I’d love to visit so many parts of the country and especially to visit Isfahan, which is where my maternal grandparents were born and raised. I am proud to come from such a rich, diverse and beautiful cultural background.
My mom is a homemaker and also had a caviar business for several years and my father is an entrepreneur.
2) You used to work in journalism — at Fox News, CNN and elsewhere. Why’d you make the transition into crypto?
Working in journalism was really eye-opening for me because I witnessed how divisive and activist-oriented it’s become. Reporting a story isn’t about the facts anymore for some journalists — it’s about injecting their own ideas.
I really enjoyed doing investigative journalism, but I consider myself to be an entrepreneur and philanthropist at heart. I felt that, really, the blockchain space was a way to be able to have a platform to utilize my experience and work with diverse people — from leaders of countries to everyday people — and see how everyone’s experience is truly predicated on one underlying theme that connects them all.

That theme is the desire and ability to create a better life for themselves and those around them. It’s such a factor that determines your lot in life. I saw Bitcoin as being one way of providing an opportunity to people everywhere in the world to pull themselves up in life. It also provides governments with the opportunity to reduce their reliance on war as a way to increase wealth.
3) Tell us about the American Blockchain PAC.
The American Blockchain PAC was founded as a way to provide a space for everyone interested in seeing a sound regulatory framework to define what crypto is and what Bitcoin is, and in clearly defining and understanding them and how they’re classified in the United States.
We boost candidates running for office who support blockchain technology. But I think a lot of political action committees try to only basically pick and support candidates who will win — and we don’t just do that. We’re also trying to educate and inform people about crypto and the adoption of digital assets, and enable them to push back against legislation that could harm them at the end of the day.
4) What’s your favorite crypto?
Bitcoin — because it’s different from other cryptocurrencies. I believe everyone is grateful that the SEC made it very clear that Bitcoin is not a security. I think that Ethereum began with good intentions but may have steered away from its original vision. That said, I think there is a bright future for it and an opportunity for it to evolve. Bitcoin is a pioneer in the digital assets space. It started the revolution we are living through today.
Unfortunately, I think a lot of meme coins and altcoins have put a bad taste in people’s mouths when it comes to digital assets, and I think it strengthens the argument for Bitcoin greatly.
5) Does it matter if we ever figure out who Satoshi really is or was? Why, or why not?
There are two quotes I like: “No amount of evidence will ever persuade an idiot,” by Mark Twain and “The truth is a strange thing. You can try to suppress it but it will always find its way to the surface.”
So of course there are people who are faking and pretending to be Satoshi. The “FakeToshi” hashtag is an indicator of that fact. But at the end of the day, the real Satoshi Nakamoto is alive, and he is not a Japanese man. I recently read Ivy McLemore’s book, Finding Satoshi, and it was intriguing.
Adelle Nazarian speaking on a panel in Dhaka, Bangladesh (2019). Source: Adelle Nazarian
Anyone who has actually done their due diligence and studied Bitcoin understands there must be some reason for Bitcoin’s origins. Satoshi did not want these so-called “trusted” third parties and banks running away with consumer cash, which is a persistent issue — just look at what occurred with FTX. It’s ironic that what he’s stood against from Day 1 — “trusted” third parties like FTX — have actually become the main tools for buying and selling Bitcoin. This is not in line with his original vision.
As for whether it matters who Satoshi is, only the real Satoshi will pave the way for the next generation of Bitcoin and dozens of new and emerging industries that will benefit from the underlying blockchain technology. Satoshi created Bitcoin to be decentralized and peer-to-peer. He never sought to do any of this based on his own personal greed or agenda. He did this for the world. Technically, we are all Satoshi.
It’s the vision that matters, because even the most incredible technology — without vision — is a dormant tool. Bitcoin was created to elevate humanity in a truly unprecedented way in our collective history.
6) What do you do in your free time?
I’m a big foodie. I enjoy different cuisines. I can make recipes from all over the world. Being Persian, one of my favorites is khoresht gheymeh— it’s a tomato-based stew made with beef, lentils and spices, served traditionally with rice and tahdig — a crispy golden crust over fluffy rice. I also enjoy working out, reading, and traveling. I love to travel.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Justyn Ross was arrested on a felony damage charge Monday, per Johnson County Sheriff’s Office arrest records.
The arrest record says Ross, an undrafted free agent out of Clemson, was taken into custody at 2:54 p.m. by authorities and booked at 4:27 p.m. on criminal damage that exceeded $25,000, which constitutes as a felony in Kansas.

The Chiefs and Ross’ agent did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comments.
Ross is in his second season with the Chiefs, though he got his first game action this year. He has 34 yards on three catches over seven games.
The 23-year-old was on injured reserve last season as a result of his recovery from a cervical fusion surgery that was a primary reason for him going undrafted.
Ross was diagnosed with a congenital fusion of two vertebrae in his neck known as Klippel-Feil syndrome, which was discovered after feeling numbness in both arms after a routine hit during practice at Clemson.

He underwent surgery in 2020, and it was initially expected that Ross would not be able to continue playing football.
But cervical fusion was what Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning famously underwent before he joined the Denver Broncos late in his career. Ross’ case was different because it wasn’t a congenital condition, and it was treated before a serious injury occurred.
Ross rehabbed with Clemson, and after over a year of rehab, he returned to the field in 2021. But another injury would occur as Ross fractured his foot after playing just 10 games.

Only four teams in the NFL cleared Ross to play when it was time for him to make the transition to the NFL, and the Chiefs could’ve been among them as they signed him as an undrafted free agent last year. He was placed on the season-ending IR before the 2022 training camp period started.

The latest development coming from the suspended Michigan Wolverines football staff member at the center of a sign-stealing probe has him purchasing tickets to more than 30 games at 11 different Big Ten schools over the past three seasons, according to a media report.
ESPN learned that Connor Stalions, who was suspended with pay by Michigan, was found to have purchased the tickets and sent them to at least three different individuals in different parts of the country.
The tickets that were purchased by Stalions were as recent as this past week’s game between Ohio State and Penn State, though ESPN reports that the tickets were not used on Saturday.

The NCAA is also expected to get video evidence that people in those seats purchased by Stalions used illegal scouting technology; an opposing Big Ten school used in-stadium video surveillance to see a person in the seat using a smartphone positioned at the home team’s sideline for the entirety of the game.
Michigan was never the opponent in the game where tickets were purchased by Stalions, sources said to ESPN. However, the tickets were purchased for games where the opponents were facing Michigan later in the season, with the position of the seats “somewhere around the 45-yard line and raised up enough for a clear view of the opposite sideline.”
“The Big Ten conference considers the integrity of competition to be of the utmost importance. Due to the ongoing nature of the NCAA investigation, the conference has no comment at this time,” the league said in a statement Monday, per ESPN.
Stalions was suspended with pay one day after the NCAA launched an investigation into sign-stealing allegations, which athletic director Warde Manuel announced. Stalions is an off-field analyst with the football team, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Yahoo Sports initially reported that Michigan sent people to games of teams on their schedule to gather information on signs used to call plays on offense and defense.

“I want to make it clear that I, and my staff, will fully cooperate with the investigation into this matter,” Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh said Friday. “I do not have any knowledge or information regarding the University of Michigan football program illegally stealing signals nor have I directed any staff member or others to participate in an off-campus scouting assignment.”
Harbaugh added, “I have no awareness of anyone on our staff having done that or having directed that action. I do not condone or tolerate anyone doing anything illegal or against NCAA rules. No matter what program or organization that I have led throughout my career, my instructions and awareness of how we scout opponents have always been firmly within the rules.”
Michigan has been dealing with NCAA discipline already this season, with Harbaugh serving a self-imposed three-game suspension amid an investigation into impermissible contact with recruits.
With that investigation ongoing, these allegations could be added to the mix, which may lead to greater punishment for Harbaugh and the program depending on how the investigation finishes.

Giannis Antetokounmpo remains committed to winning a title in Milwaukee, as the Bucks reportedly signed the superstar to a massive three-year, $186 million extension on the eve before the 2023-24 season’s start.
Antetokounmpo teased the news on X that was reported Monday night by ESPN.
“MILUWAKEEEEEEEEE!! Let’s get it!!!! #BucksInSix #Extended,” Antetokounmpo said with a picture of him holding the Larry O’Brien Trophy and his 2021 NBA Finals MVP trophy.

The 28-year-old previously signed a supermax contract extension in 2020 that was worth $228.2 million over five years, which would’ve kept him on the Bucks through the 2024-25 campaign. However, Antetokounmpo was up for an extension this past offseason, and he gave the Bucks until 11:59 p.m. ET Monday night to get something done, per ESPN.
Bucks General Manager Jon Horst and the All-Star’s agent, Alex Saratsis, reportedly met in Chicago on Sunday and worked through the max extension details, which were finalized on Monday. Now, Antetokounmpo will remain with the team through the 2027-28 season.
Antetokounmpo, a two-time MVP who has been named an All-Star for the past seven straight seasons, said earlier this summer that he needed to see the Bucks’ commitment to a championship after a devastating early exit in last season’s NBA Playoffs — a first-round loss to the Miami Heat.
Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo warms up before Game 5 of the first-round NBA playoff series against the Miami Heat at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee on April 26, 2023.(AP Photo/Jeffrey Phelps)
“I would not be the best version of myself if I don’t know that everybody’s on the same page, everybody’s going for a championship, everybody’s going to sacrifice time away from their family like I do,” he said. “And if I don’t feel that, I’m not signing.”
Well, Horst certainly showed Antetokounmpo that the Bucks, who owned the league’s best record in the regular season last year, believe their championship window is very much alive by trading for seven-time All-NBA guard Damian Lillard to add to a starting five that includes Malik Beasley, Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez. First-year head coach Adrian Griffin has more than enough to work with now that another high-scoring threat is in a Bucks uniform.
Antetokounmpo’s extension comes after he averaged a career-high 31.1 points and 11.8 rebounds last season. Many argue that he is the league’s top player, and his numbers certainly support that opinion.

Now that the Antetokounmpo contract situation isn’t looming over Milwaukee heading into the new season, the Bucks can focus on their highly anticipated matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday.

Uptober may have finally arrived, with the price of Bitcoin (BTC) breaking through the $34,000 mark for the first time since May last year, marking a staggering 14% gain in the past 24 hours.
The price of Bitcoin suddenly spiked upwards on Oct. 23, with BTC gaining more than 10% from $31,000 to briefly touch $34,000 before settling down to a current price of $33,349 according to data from TradingView.

The sudden uptick in price for Bitcoin comes amid a fresh wave of interest in upcoming spot ETF approvals and a significant increase in overall trading volumes across spot markets.
Analyst Scott Johnson pointed out that investment giant Blackrock may soon begin the process of “seeding” their spot ETF product as early as this month.
Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas wrote that seeding an ETF is when initial funding is provided in exchange for ETF shares which can be traded in the open market.
Note: Seeding is typically not a lot of money just enough to get ETF going. So I wouldn’t read this as ‘omg Blackrock is buying a ton of bitcoin’ at all but more the fact they doing it and disclosing it shows another step in the process of launching.
Crypto market commentators and community members were left dumbfounded by the sudden move upwards. With independent journalists Autism Capital asking their 237,000 followers; “what the heck just happened?”
The NFL has suspended Denver Broncos safety Kareem Jackson four games in the wake of his second ejection, which occurred Sunday in a win over the Green Bay Packers.
Jackson has been a hot topic early this season as he’s been flagged three times and ejected twice for illegal hits that have been high on opposing receivers.

NFL vice president of football operations Jon Runyan made the announcement of the suspension on Monday, which comes a day after Jackson was ejected for a hit on Packers rookie tight end Luke Musgrave.
“On the play in question, you delivered a forceful blow to the head/neck area of a defenseless receiver, when you had the time and space to avoid such contact,” a statement by Runyan reads. “You could have made contact with your opponent within the rules, yet you choose not to.”
On the play, Musgrave caught a pass from quarterback Jordan Love, and his footing was shaky as he went to turn around to see where any Broncos defenders were. There was Jackson flying in to make the tackle, and he could be seen leading with his shoulder as he lit up Musgrave directly on his facemask.
The NFL noted Jackson as a repeated offender of this, citing Section 2, Article 9 (b)(1) of its rule book.
“It is a foul if a player forcibly hits the defenseless player’s head or neck area with the helmet, facemask, forearm, or shoulder, even if the initial contact is lower than the player’s neck, and regardless of whether the defensive player also uses his arms to tackle the defenseless player by encircling or grasping him,” the rule reads.
Jackson broke that rule in Week 2 when he was ejected against the Washington Commanders on a hit that looked worse than the one to Musgrave.

Tight end Logan Thomas was still in the air when Jackson made contact with his helmet after Thomas hauled in a touchdown pass from quarterback Sam Howell. He managed to hold on for the score, but Jackson was thrown out of the game for lowering his helmet and launching himself into Thomas.
Jackson was docked a $19,669 fine for his hit on Thomas, though he wasn’t suspended for it. He was also fined in Week 1 for his helmet-to-helmet contact on Las Vegas Raiders receiver Jakobi Meyers, but the referees didn’t issue an ejection.
The NFL has been tightening its rule book when it comes to head injuries, and a repeat offender like Jackson is clearly someone they won’t tolerate.
If Jackson’s suspension holds up, the Broncos will likely have to rely on backup Delarrin Turner-Yell to take his place.
Jackson, 35, is in his 14th NFL season after being selected 20th overall by the Houston Texans in the 2010 NFL Draft. He spent nine seasons in Houston before joining Denver for the 2019 season.

He’s been starting for the Broncos at safety since that year, totaling 384 combined tackles, 24 passes defended, six interceptions and four fumble recoveries.

HBO’s “Hard Knocks” is staying in the AFC East this year as the Miami Dolphins have been chosen as the franchise that will be the subject of the popular show’s in-season edition.
The NFL made the announcement on Monday after the Dolphins’ loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on “Sunday Night Football,” adding that more details will come on the show’s first episode to air on HBO and MAX.
The New York Jets got the “Hard Knocks” all-access treatment this offseason during their training camp battles. It was a perfect way to view Aaron Rodgers‘ journey since being traded from the Green Bay Packers and getting connected with his new teammates on the practice and playing fields.
Tua Tagovailoa of the Miami Dolphins passes the ball during the first quarter against the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field, October 22, 2023, in Philadelphia.(Mitchell Leff/Getty Images)
Of course, that storyline has hit the back burner this season with Rodgers tearing his Achilles just four plays into his Jets tenure. Meanwhile, one of the biggest storylines early this season has been the explosive Dolphins offense and how they could be true Super Bowl contenders with a current record of 5-2.
The Dolphins have a charismatic group that starts with their quirky head coach, Mike McDaniel, whose nonchalant, fun personality is a stark opposite compared to many with the same position around the league.
But teams don’t care about his personality because it’s his offensive scheming that has been baffling them on the field since he took over the role last season, following a stint as the San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator.
McDaniel told reporters Monday that he learned the Dolphins had been selected as the “Hard Knocks’ team earlier in the day, and while many others scoff at having cameras in the building while striving for a Vince Lombardi trophy, he said there can be positives for his young squad.

McDaniel expects filming to begin once the Dolphins return from Germany, where they will be this week to face the Kansas City Chiefs in Frankfurt.
McDaniel’s offense is all about speed, which is embodied by star wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who is one of the most fun faces in the league on and off the field.
Working alongside fellow receiver Jaylen Waddle, Hill’s ability to simply blow by defenses has been utilized by McDaniel, who has trusted quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to lead the group on the field since he took over as head coach last season.
The Dolphins’ defense also features stars at multiple positions, including Jalen Ramsey and Xavien Howard at cornerback, Christian Wilkins and Bradley Chubb on the defensive line and many more.
Unlike the Arizona Cardinals last year and the Indianapolis Colts before them, the Dolphins are pegged by many to make the playoffs this season. It’s just a matter of what seed they will end up with.
Head coach Mike McDaniel of the Miami Dolphins shows frustration during the second half of a game against the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field, October 22, 2023, in Philadelphia.(Tim Nwachukwu/Getty Images)
They did so last year as a wild card after going 9-8 in McDaniel’s inaugural season, falling to the Buffalo Bills on the road in the wild-card round. McDaniel didn’t have Tagovailoa at quarterback for that game, instead being forced to go with rookie Skylar Thompson with backup Teddy Bridgewater injured as well.
Miami is looking to prove they are the powerhouse many believe they can be, and that will be seen by NFL fans around the world with behind-the-scenes looks at what makes one of the most electric franchises in the league tick.
