President Donald Trump touted the U.S. economy on Thursday, asking when he will be awarded credit for creating “perhaps the Greatest Economy” ever in the nation’s history.

“I inherited a MESS from the Biden Administration — The Worst Inflation in History, and the Highest Prices our Country has ever seen. In other words, Affordability, just 13 months ago, was a DISASTER for the American People, but now, it’s totally different! Prices are coming down FAST, Energy, Oil and Gasoline, are hitting five year lows, and the Stock Market today just hit an All Time High. Tariffs are bringing in Hundreds of Billions of Dollars, and we are respected as a Nation again,” Trump asserted in a Truth Social post.

President Trump took office for his second term less than a year ago on January 20, 2025.

“When will I get credit for having created, with No Inflation, perhaps the Greatest Economy in the History of our Country? When will people understand what is happening? When will Polls reflect the Greatness of America at this point in time, and how bad it was just one year ago?” he asked in the post.

In a prior Truth Social post on Thursday, the president conveyed similar thoughts.

During a recent interview with Politico’s Dasha Burns, the president indicated that he would rate the economy as “A+++++.”

But GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia said during an interview with CBS News that she thinks “the president needs to be aware that he’s a billionaire, president of the United States. And you can’t gaslight people and tell them that their bills are affordable. And you can’t tell them that the economy is an A+++. You just can’t do that. And I think it’s insulting to people’s intelligence.”

Archaeologists unearth trove of bullets at Scotland's Culloden Battlefield

Archaeologists recently unearthed a trove of bullets at one of the most iconic battle sites in Scotland — shedding light on its final chaotic moments.

The finds, made at Culloden Battlefield near Inverness in the Scottish Highlands, were announced by the National Trust for Scotland on Oct. 30. A group of volunteers and archaeologists found the artifacts earlier that month.

The Battle of Culloden took place on April 16, 1746, when a Jacobite army led by Charles Edward Stuart, also known as Bonnie Prince Charlie, clashed with King George II’s troops.

In less than an hour of fighting, the Jacobites were defeated and all attempts to restore the Stuarts to the British throne were vanquished.

Culloden was also the last pitched, large-scale battle fought on British soil, cementing its significance in modern British history.

The key finds consisted of more than 100 projectiles, which included lead musket balls and cannon shot, per a press release from the NTS.

“Among them [was] what is believed to be a three-pound cannonball fired by Jacobite artillery,” the release stated.

“This collection of artifacts not only proves that archaeology from the battle has survived in this area, but project leaders believe it has provided evidence for one of the most dramatic episodes in a battle that, from beginning to end, probably lasted less than an hour.”

Archaeologists dug trenches, made test pits and used metal detectors to find the artifacts — which had eluded past excavators.

A spokesperson from NTS told Fox News Digital that experts weren’t surprised by the projectiles themselves — similar items had been found in the past — but they were struck by the new insight into the final moments of the battle.

Because the musket balls were used by infantry, and because of the location of the projectiles, historians believe they were linked to the Irish Brigade of France, which fought with the Jacobites during the battle’s final moments.

“What was most interesting is the suggestion that the musket balls fired by Jacobite and government troops, including pistol balls fired by government dragoons, likely relate to one of the last actions in the battle,” she said.

“[A]s the Jacobites retreated, a battalion of Irish troops in French service, fighting with the Jacobites, made a brave stand against hundreds of mounted men from Cobham’s Dragoons and possibly Kingston’s Horse, advancing from the right of Cumberland’s line,” the official added.

“This action helped thousands of Jacobites get away from the field, but it gets only brief mentions in most history books … I think the archaeologists would say that this was the biggest discovery for them this year.”

Because the land is boggy, the projectiles had never been detected in past excavations.

“The archaeologists believe that 19th-century forestation may have created acid soils, while tree clearances could also have caused disturbances, so multiple factors made this particular area challenging to investigate in the past,” the official said.

The spokesperson added that they aim for one major excavation at Culloden per year, but archaeologists “will almost certainly be visiting another part of the battlefield in 2026.”

Archaeologists in Jerusalem recently uncovered the remains of a Hanukkah-era wall linked to a Hasmonean leader — and tied to an ancient power struggle.

The discovery, made in the Tower of David Jerusalem Museum earlier this month, was announced by the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) on Dec. 8.

The wall is the longest, most intact segment of Jerusalem’s Hasmonean-era city wall, measuring more than 130 feet long and about 16 feet wide.

The area was once a citadel complex in the time of King Herod, who ruled from 37 to 5 B.C. after he was appointed king of Judea by the Romans.

Built during the days of the Maccabees, the wall was completed in the late 2nd century B.C.

In a statement, excavation directors Amit Re’em and Marion Zindel said the wall remnants are “particularly impressive in both size and degree of preservation.”

They added, “The wall is meticulously built of large, heavy stones, with a chiseled boss typical of this period.”

“Originally, the massive wall rose to a height of more than 10 meters! But today, only a stump remains.”

Experts have relied on ancient sources to learn more about the wall. In the first century A.D., historian Josephus wrote that the wall was “impregnable” with its 60 towers.

“There is much more to this wall than meets the eye,” said Re’em and Zindel. “It is clear that it was systematically destroyed and razed to the ground.”

They continued, “This is predetermined destruction — not the result of the ravages of time, nor of a random enemy attack, but a deliberate execution of a well-planned action. This raises questions about who was responsible for the wall’s destruction.”

Why was the wall destroyed in the first place? After analyzing the site and its artifacts, which included ancient arrowheads, researchers have two different military-related theories.

In the first theory, the wall was dismantled by the Hasmoneans themselves after the group settled with Antiochus VII Sidetes, the Seleucid king who besieged the city between 134 and 132 B.C.

“Sidetes demanded that Jerusalem dismantle its fortifications as a precondition for lifting the siege,” the IAA said. “Possibly, the destruction of this newly discovered wall is a testament to and a vestige of that agreement.”

The second theory suggests that King Herod himself ordered the wall’s destruction, the IAA said. That’s evidenced by a sentiment that researchers attribute to Herod’s agenda: “The days of the Hasmonean kings are over, and I am their successor.”

The statement added, “Its systematic demolition could well fit this Herodian policy, evinced in other manners as well.”

Eilat Lieber, director of the Tower of David Jerusalem Museum, said his organization is “committed to preserving this impressive and unique sight.”

Said Lieber, “The archaeological excavation … was conducted in preparation for the creation of the new Schulich Wing of Archaeology, Art and Innovation.”

A pilot program has been launched at the Orlando International Airport (MCO) in Florida to help streamline the international departure process.

The Enhanced Passenger Processing (EPP) program identifies passengers through biometric facial comparison. Travelers can get their faces scanned, as opposed to having to pull out identification documents for review.

Partnering with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the 90-day pilot program will be tested in conjunction with three movement-tracking technology companies on select flights.

FINGERPRINT SCANS COMING FOR AMERICAN TRAVELERS TO MOST OF EUROPE IN NEW POLICY

Multiple passengers can board their international flights at the same time, due to the facial recognition cameras on the jetway.

Photographs are matched with government records and are deleted within 12 hours, according to the program.

Beginning Dec. 26, non-U.S. citizens will be required to use the biometric system — while U.S. citizens may opt out of it.

CBP official Diane Sabatino said in a press conference that enhanced passenger screening has already reduced times for travelers at Orlando by 43%.

“When we think about just a couple of seconds that they don’t have to get their passport, put bags down, move things — this is important to the efficiency of the entire process and not just to CBP, right?”

She added, “The time that’s spent in the [inspection services] with Customs and Border Protection also translates to the impact of the timing that they have in other parts of this travel continuum.”

About 155,695 passengers pass through the Orlando airport daily, according to MCO data.

In September of this year, 293,697 passengers enplaned on international flights, according to the same source.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom trolled President Donald Trump’s administration by posting an AI-generated video depicting Trump, War Secretary Pete Hegseth, and White House deputy chief of staff for policy and Homeland Security advisor Stephen Miller, in handcuffs.

“It’s CUFFING Season,” reads text that briefly appears in the video.

The Democratic governor shared the video when reposting a White House post that read, “WE HEARD IT’S CUFFING SZN.” The post included the chains emoji and added, “Bad news for criminal illegal aliens. Great news for America.”

The post featured a video, apparently depicting law enforcement activity — text that briefly appears in the video declares, “IT’S CUFFING SEASON.”

Swedish archaeologists uncover remnants of 16th-century city beneath Gothenburg

Swedish archaeologists recently uncovered remnants of a forgotten 16th-century city beneath modern-day Gothenburg.

The excavation was conducted by Arkeologerna, a Swedish archaeological consultancy, earlier this autumn. Researchers focused on Olskroken, a district east of central Gothenburg — Sweden’s second-largest city after Stockholm.

What they found were the remnants of a place called Nya Lödöse, a short-lived town founded by Swedish regent Sten Sture the Elder in 1473.

With its strategic location near the North Sea, Nya Lödöse flourished as a port and attracted traders from across Western Europe.

By 1624, however, it was largely abandoned and Gothenburg began to rise in its place. Thanks to archaeologists’ hard work, remnants of the long-forgotten locale have turned up in recent months.

Archaeologist Mattias Obrink told Fox News Digital that Nya Lödöse was designed like a typical medieval market town, with a grid surrounding a main marketplace with a town hall.

“There were similarities in the physical structure of most of the plots,” he said. “All houses except the church were wooden and mostly uniform in size and architectural style.”

Obrink added, “They resembled rural dwellings and the architecture didn’t show different social and economic status. What we uncovered were not complete houses — but rather the remains of walls and the boundaries of the individual plots.”

Obrink worked as a project manager during the excavations. He noted that subtle class differences emerged through the artifacts.

“We found a huge amount of artifacts reflecting everyday life and surplus — like, for instance, a leather glove and a wooden barrel,” he said.

“We also found many imported ceramic objects. One of the most surprising artifacts was pieces of a pocket watch from the mid-16th century.”

Photos from the excavation include the remains of a house, a 16th-century leather glove and a cobbled street, along with a 17th-century wooden barrel that was repurposed as a cesspit.

“In the 16th century, this part of the town was densely built up, and analyses of the buried inhabitants have given us important insights into life in Nya Lödöse,” he said.

“We have excavated an exceptionally large portion of the town, and the material we uncovered spans a period of only 150 years.”

“The founding of Nya Lödöse represents the beginning of an independent Swedish trade policy.”

Obrink noted that Nya Lödöse was established to succeed the older medieval settlement of Lödöse, during a time “marked by conflict between Denmark and Sweden.“

“Although the two kingdoms had been united in a political union since the 14th century, Sweden repeatedly attempted to break free,” he said.

But Nya Lödöse’s proximity to the Danish border invited conflict, Obrink said — and it was replaced “by the heavily fortified city of Gothenburg.”

Since 2013, archaeologists have uncovered streets, at least 39 plots, the port, the pier and the main square — and more recently, the city’s 16th-century fortifications, which included a moat, rampart and traces of several gardens inside the walls.

All in all, Obrink said that the new findings give researchers “extraordinary opportunities to examine fine-grained details of the built environment and to tell the stories of life in Nya Lödöse.”

“[It’s] something that has rarely been possible elsewhere,” he said.

“These stories unfold against the wider backdrop of the transformative 16th century, when medieval Europe transitioned into the early modern era.”

“It was a time marked by the discovery of the Americas, the Reformation and the emergence of powerful princely states,” Obrink concluded.

The Gothenburg excavation is one of many fascinating archaeological digs that took place in Sweden in 2025.

In the southwest region of the country, a history buff with a metal detector led archaeologists to the site of a medieval monastery this spring.

Earlier this fall, an angler digging for fishing worms found a massive medieval treasure hoard outside of Stockholm.
