Bryce Young outdueled C.J. Stroud in a battle of the NFL’s top two draft picks, and Eddy Pineiro made a 23-yard field goal as time expired to send the Carolina Panthers over the Houston Texans 15-13 on Sunday for their first win of the season.
Young, the No. 1 overall pick, threw for 235 yards and a touchdown. He led a winning 15-play, 86-yard drive that took more than six minutes off the clock in helping the Panthers (1-6) snap a 56-game losing streak in games they trailed at any point in fourth quarter, the longest in the NFL since at least 1991.
Carolina’s last fourth-quarter comeback win was October 21, 2018, against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Stroud, the second overall pick, was 16 of 24 for 140 yards and ran for a touchdown for Houston (3-4).
The ending was filled with drama, with the Panthers lining up for three different field-goal attempts.
On a 38-yarder, Tavierre Thomas ran into the backfield early in an attempt to block the kick and ran into holder Johnny Hekker. That moved the Panthers 10 yards closer. Then Thomas was flagged again for unsportsmanlike conduct for trying to stop the clock by jumping off sides again, moving the ball another five yards closer.
Pineiro made his third attempt, even as another flag for off sides was thrown on the Texans.

Young overcame six sacks and three drops by his wide receivers to record his first win since coming into the NFL out of Alabama. He had his two biggest completions of the season — 40 and 31 yards.
Adam Thielen had eight catches for 72 yards for Carolina. Tommy Tremble caught a touchdown pass for the second straight game as the Panthers won in their first game with offensive coordinator Thomas Brown as play-caller.
The win kept Carolina from matching its worst start in franchise history. The Panthers were 0-7 to start the 1998 season.
The Panthers trailed 7-6 at the halftime after Pinero missed an extra point following Young’s 1-yard touchdown pass to Tremble.
But Young’s 40-yard strike to fellow rookie Jonathan Mingo set up one Pineiro field goal and Donte Jackson’s forced fumble on fullback Andrew Beck led to another field goal to give Carolina a 12-7 lead.
But Stroud put the Texans back on top 13-12, completing a 31-yard pass to Noah Brown to set up a 1-yard TD run on a quarterback sneak. Brown was initially flagged for stepping out of bounds, but officials later allowed the catch after determining that the ball had been tipped at the line of scrimmage. The two-point conversion was no good.

Derek Carr spent the past week answering questions about his sideline demeanor, but the New Orleans’ quarterback had nothing to apologize for Sunday.
Carr masterfully carved up Indianapolis’ young, depleted secondary, Taysom Hill and Alvin Kamara scored two touchdowns apiece, and the Saints beat the Colts 38-27 to move into a share of the NFC South lead.
New Orleans (4-4) ended a two-game skid, and Carr got a chance to move past the criticism he had taken for scolding teammates and yelling at offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael during a Week 7 loss to Jacksonville.
“Gosh, it feels good to smile,” Carr said. “I was at one place for nine years. If I got banged up, everyone in that building knew I was playing that Sunday. If I got upset, they knew where my heart was. But now I’m in a new place, and new things are happening. You have to prove yourself, you have to show guys where you’re coming from, you have to build new relationships. That was something I put on my heart this week. I tried not to be so emotional.”
Things went smoothly against the Colts (3-5). Carr made all the right reads, was on time and watched his receivers take care of the rest.
The four-time Pro Bowler went 19 of 27 for 310 yards with two TDs and no interceptions. Although he lost a fumble, he made big play after big play.

Rashid Shaheed had three catches for a career-best 153 yards, including a 58-yard TD catch, and for the second time this year he helped seal the victory with a long third-down reception in the final minutes. Kamara also caught a TD pass, while Michael Thomas and Chris Olave combined for nine receptions and 114 yards.
“A lot came together for us today,” Carr said. “I felt for the first time all year that all eleven guys on offense played complementary football.”
The Colts, who have lost three straight overall and still have not beaten the Saints since losing the teams’ Super Bowl matchup after the 2009 season, challenged the Saints’ usually stingy defense.
Gardner Minshew was 23 of 41 for 213 yards with two TDs and one interception. Jonathan Taylor rushed for 87 of his 95 yards in the first quarter, while Zack Moss finished with 66 yards and scored on a 1-yard stretch across the goal line.
But Indy’s pass coverage was no match for Carr.
“I think sometimes you try to scheme up explosive (plays), and sometimes you hit on that, and sometimes you don’t,” Colts coach Shane Steichen said. “We’ve got to do a good job creating those explosives and, obviously, on the flip side of that we’ve got to stop them on the other side.”
Carr opened the Saints’ scoring with an 18-yard TD pass to Kamara before hooking up with Shaheed as New Orleans took a 21-20 halftime lead.
Kamara’s 25-yard reception late in the third quarter set up his powerful 16-yard scoring run that made it 28-20. And when Shaheed was awarded a 44-yard catch after a replay review of an apparent interception, Hill capped the drive with a 1-yard scoring run to make it 35-20 with 10:49 to play.

Minshew answered with a 33-yard TD pass to Drew Ogletree with 8:19 left that got the Colts within 35-27. But after a defensive stop, Minshew couldn’t drive Indy for a potential tying score, and the Saints closed it out with a short field goal.
Dak Prescott threw two of his four touchdown passes to CeeDee Lamb, DaRon Bland recorded his NFL-leading third interception return for a score and the Dallas Cowboys beat the Los Angeles Rams 43-20 on Sunday.
It was a rough-and-tumble homecoming for Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, who was replaced by Brett Rypien late in the third quarter after injuring a thumb on a failed 2-point conversion pass and ending up with a bloody elbow after catching another.

Sam Williams blocked a punt for a safety before KaVontae Turpin returned the ensuing punt 63 yards to set up Lamb’s first TD grab, helping the Cowboys (5-2) to a 33-3 lead late in the first half in their 11th consecutive home victory.
The streak matches the club’s longest since an 11-game run at Texas Stadium in 1991-92, almost two decades before AT&T Stadium opened.
Stafford led scoring drives on either side of halftime to help the Rams (3-5) trim a 30-point deficit to 16. But the former Dallas high school standout, visiting his hometown team for the first time as a Super Bowl champion, sent the Cowboys on their way with an early mistake.

Stafford threw behind Cooper Kupp to a waiting Bland for an easy 30-yard return and a 17-3 Dallas lead in the first quarter. Bland brought an interception back 22 yards for a score against the New York Giants in the opener before a 54-yarder in Week 4 against the Patriots.
The second-year cornerback is the third player since the 1970 merger with three pick-6s in the first seven games of a season. The NFL record for an entire season is four, last accomplished 30 years ago.
Despite getting sacked three times in the first quarter — with a fourth wiped out by a defensive penalty — Prescott finished the first half 17 of 21 for 225 yards. He ended up with his first 300-yard game of the season (25 of 31 for 304 yards with an interception).
Lamb had career highs with 12 catches for 158 yards, including another personal best with 122 yards before the break.

Dallas kicker Brandon Aubrey tied an NFL record with two field goals, giving him 18 consecutive makes to start his career. Travis Coons made his first 18 with Cleveland in 2015.
Stafford injured the thumb on his throwing (right) hand when it jammed into a Dallas helmet on an errant throw in the final seconds of the first half.
The 35-year-old’s elbow was bloodied after he caught a 2-point pass from Tutu Atwell just above the turf and fell across the goal line following his 20-yard scoring toss to Ben Skowronek.
Rams receiver Puka Nacua had three catches to set a league record for the most catches through the first eight games of a career with 61. But he fell short of the 51 yards needed to set that mark as well, finishing with 43.
Cowboys LT Tyron Smith was inactive after injuring his neck in practice during the week. It’s the third game the eight-time Pro Bowler has missed, which means the 32-year-old has been sidelined at least three games in each of the past eight seasons. … The Rams were without RT Rob Havenstein (calf).
Trevor Lawrence threw for 292 yards with a touchdown and an interception, and the Jacksonville Jaguars slugged their way past the Pittsburgh Steelers 20-10 on Sunday for their fifth straight victory.
The Jaguars (6-2) strengthened their hold on the AFC South behind a defense that kept Pittsburgh’s erratic offense in check and more than enough offense to overcome a series of mistakes that let the Steelers (4-3) hang around well into the second half.

Lawrence broke it open with a 56-yard strike to a streaking Travis Etienne with 5:14 left in the third quarter that helped Jacksonville build a 14-point lead as the Jaguars won at Acrisure Stadium for the sixth time in their last seven trips.
Etienne ran for 79 yards and caught three passes for 70 yards and the score, a play in which he streaked past rookie cornerback Joey Porter Jr. and raced to the end zone. Evan Engram hauled in 10 receptions for 88 yards as Jacksonville heads into its bye week looking every bit the AFC South favorite it was expected to be.
Pittsburgh played the second half without quarterback Kenny Pickett, who exited late in the first half with a rib injury after getting drilled by defensive end Adam Gotsis. Mitch Trubisky came on and threw for 139 yards, including a 22-yard touchdown pass to George Pickens late in the third quarter that brought the Steelers within 17-10.

Trubisky, however, also threw two interceptions, including one in which he forced a pass into triple coverage early in the fourth quarter that ended up in the hands of Jacksonville’s Andrew Wingard to hand the momentum back to the Jaguars.
Lawrence, playing with a brace on his left knee, guided the Jaguars on a clock-draining drive that ended with Brandon McManus’ fourth field goal to put the game out of reach as the Jaguars won their seventh straight regular-season road game.
The Jaguars have shrugged off a 1-2 start behind Lawrence and a defense that seems to be improving by the week. While Pickens raised eyebrows during the week by saying Jacksonville plays a “hope” defense that relies heavily on the pass rush to protect the secondary, Jacksonville essentially kept the Steelers in check for long stretches on a day it outgained Pittsburgh 377-261.
The Steelers came in somehow still afloat in the competitive AFC North despite having an offense and a defense that rank near the bottom of the league in every major statistical category except wins.
It was more of the same in the late-October mist. Pittsburgh needed four possessions before picking up a single first down while Jacksonville moved the ball with relative ease only to settle for three McManus field goals and have two other drives end with turnovers deep in Pittsburgh territory.

The Steelers — as is their custom — started generating momentum late in the second quarter when Gotsis drilled Pickett in the waning seconds of the opening half. Pickett grabbed his ribs while making his way to the locker room, and while he made a brief appearance on the sideline and tried to warm up as halftime ended, he was ultimately pulled in favor of Trubisky.
Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill needed just eight games this season to break 1,000 receiving yards, as another stellar performance helped his team to victory on Sunday.Â
The Dolphins took down their AFC East-rival New England Patriots. 31-17, thanks in part to hill’s 112-yard performance on eight catches that included his eighth receiving touchdown of the season.Â
Hill came into this game with a league-leading 902 receiving yards, so he now sits at 1,014 yards. He is the fourth player in NFL history – first in the Super Bowl era – to reach 1,000 yards in just eight games.Â

After Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa threw an interception that led to a Patriots’ touchdown in the first quarterback, Hill helped him return the favor to New England. On a play-action pass, Tagovailoa saw Hill streaking between two defenders, and he put the ball right in the bread basket for a 42-yard touchdown.Â
That was the spark the Dolphins needed to get their offense going again. On their next drive, Tagovailoa led a 14-play drive that resulted in a one-yard strike to Cedric Wilson Jr. to make it 14-7.Â
The Dolphins’ defense decided to get involved once the Patriots got the ball, too, and it was cornerback Jalen Ramsey, making his Dolphins debut after rehabbing a torn meniscus that he had suffered in training camp, intercepting Patriots quarterback Mac Jones. His pick led to a Jason Sanders field goal, giving the Dolphins a 17-7 lead at the half.Â
But there was much more offense from Miami in the second half, and a lot of it came from the leading receiver in this game. No, it wasn’t Hill.Â

Instead, his counterpart Jaylen Waddle was the team’s leading receiver with 121 yards on seven catches, which included his 31-yards touchdown where he was uncovered in the middle of the field to make it 31-17 late in the fourth quarter.Â
Tagovailoa finished 30 of 45 for 324 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. Raheem Moster didn’t have the best day on the ground with 46 yards on 13 carries, but he did find the end zone on a one-yard rush in the second half to add to his touchdown total on the year.Â
As for the Patriots, Jones, riding high after a game-winning drive against the Buffalo Bills the week prior, was brought back down to Earth. He was 19 of 29 for 161 yards with two touchdowns and the interception thrown to Ramsey.Â
Jones founded Kendrick Bourne for a 24-yard touchdown that opened the scoring in this game, but the Patriots couldn’t find the end zone until the fourth quarter when Jones found Juju Smith-Schuster out in the flat to cut the Dolphins’ lead to one touchdown, 24-17.Â

In the end, the Dolphins got back to winning after falling to the Philadelphia Eagles a week earlier, moving to 6-2 on the year. Meanwhile, the Patriots are 2-6 now after being unable to produce a winning streak after snapping a four-game drought last week at home.Â

New York Jets veteran kicker Greg Zuerlein proved yet again why he deserves every bit of his nickname “Greg the Leg.”
The Jets defeated the New York Giants on a rainy day at MetLife Stadium on Sunday to earn bragging rights in the battle of New York when Zuerlein made a 33-yard field goal attempt in overtime to solidify the 13-10 victory.Â

“Over the last 10 years or so, it hasn’t been all peaches and cream around here, but to say that you’re king of New York for at least one more is pretty cool,” head coach Robert Saleh told reporters after the game. Â
The win helped the Jets to improve to 4-3 through Week 8 and gave New York their first victory after a bye for the first time since 2015, when they did so against the Washington Commanders.
While a win is a win in the NFL, it certainly wasn’t a pretty one for Nathaniel Hackett’s offense.Â
The Jets struggled to convert on third down. Zach Wilson had the first third down conversion late in the fourth quarter when he scrambled to the Jets 41-yard line just before the two-minute warning.Â

The Jets were 2-15 on third downs, while the Giants were not much better at 2-19.Â
“As a team, there’s things that we’ve gotta clean up,” Saleh added. “We’ve gotta clean up third downs somehow, some way. We’ve gotta figure out third down. Part of it is being great and first on second down to create manageable situations.”Â
The Giants defense managed to shut down the Jets for the majority of the contest, but a late-game surge allowed Zuerlein to knock in a 35-yard field goal to tie it up.Â
Wilson finished 17 for 36 for 240 yards, and star wideout Garrett Wilson had seven catches for 100 yards. Breece Hall had the only touchdown for the Jets with a 50-yard catch and run in the first half.Â
The Giants dropped to 2-6 this season and suffered another blow to the quarterback position when Tyrod Taylor left the game late in the first half with an apparent rib injury. Undrafted rookie Tommy DeVito stepped in and scored the Giants only touchdown in the opening drive of the second half.Â

“Every decision that you make, you try to make for the best interest of the team,” head coach Brian Daboll said after the game.Â
“Sometimes it doesn’t work out. I accept responsibility for that. . . . We still had a few seconds there at the end to try and stop them and give them credit. Disappointing loss.”
Hopes of approval for a spot Bitcoin (BTC) exchange-traded fund by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission boosted Bitcoin’s price by 27% in October. This improved sentiment, attracting aggressive buying by crypto investors.
Bloomberg senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas highlighted in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF (BITO), the first futures-based ETF to get regulatory consent in the U.S. in 2021, saw its second biggest trading week ever at $1.7 billion. Similarly, Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) recorded a volume of $800 million. The sharp uptick in volume in the existing instruments shows that spot Bitcoin ETFs are likely to witness huge volumes when they see the light of the day.
When the leader starts performing, it generally lifts the entire sector. That is seen in the strong performance of altcoins, which have risen sharply from their multi-year lows.
However, after the initial rally, some altcoins will struggle to maintain their up-move while a few will lead the markets higher. It is better to stick with the leaders as they are most likely to outperform during the next crypto bull phase.
Let’s look at the charts of the top-5 cryptocurrencies that may extend their rally in the next few days.
Bitcoin price analysis
Bitcoin pulled back from $35,280 on Oct. 24, indicating that higher levels are attracting selling by traders. The bears tried to start a deeper pullback on Oct. 27 but the long tail on the candlestick shows solid buying at lower levels.
Although the rising moving averages indicate advantage to buyers, the overbought levels on the relative strength index (RSI) suggest that the BTC/USDT pair may spend some more time in consolidation.
The important level to watch out for on the downside is $32,400 and then $31,000. Sellers will have to pull the price below this zone to seize control.
Conversely, if the price turns up from the current level and breaks above $35,280, it will indicate the bulls are back in the driver’s seat. The pair may then surge to the next target objective at $40,000.
BTC/USDT 4-hour chart. Source: TradingView
The 20-EMA is gradually flattening out, indicating that the bulls are losing their grip in the near term. That could keep the pair range-bound between $35,280 and $33,200 for some time. If the bears yank the price below $33,200, the pair may tumble to $32,400.
On the contrary, if the price turns up and rallies above $35,280, it will indicate that the current consolidation was a continuation pattern. The pair could then skyrocket toward $40,000.
Ether price analysis
Ether (ETH) climbed above the $1,746 resistance on Oct. 23 and reached $1,865 on Oct. 26. This level attracted selling by short-term traders which pulled the price back toward the breakout level of $1,746.
ETH/USDT daily chart. Source: TradingView
The bulls successfully defended the retest to $1,746, indicating that the level may act as a new floor. The rising 20-day EMA ($1,693) and the RSI near the overbought zone, indicate that the bulls are in command. Buyers will then strive to push the price above $1,865. If they succeed, the ETH/USDT pair could soar to $2,000.
If bears want to prevent the upside, they will have to yank and sustain the price below $1,746. That could open the doors for a fall to the 20-day EMA.
The 20-EMA on the 4-hour chart is flattening out and the RSI is near the midpoint, indicating a range-bound action in the near term. The pair may continue to swing between $1,746 and $1,865 for some time.
If bulls kick the price above $1,812, the likelihood of a rally to the overhead resistance of $1,865 increases. On the other hand, if the price maintains below the 20-EMA, the bears will attempt to tug the pair below $1,746. If that happens, the short-term trend will turn bearish.
Aptos (APT) price analysis
Aptos (APT) rallied sharply in the past few days, indicating that the bulls are attempting to make a comeback.
APT/USDT daily chart. Source: TradingView
The APT/USDT pair witnessed profit-booking near $7 but a minor positive is that the bulls did not give up much ground. This shows that every minor dip is being purchased. The bulls will again try to overcome the obstacle at $7. If they manage to do that, the pair may start its march toward $8.
Instead, if the price turns down from $7, it will suggest that the bears remain active at higher levels. The pair may then spend some more time inside a tight range between $7 and $6.20. A break below this support could signal the start of a deeper correction.
The pair has been finding support at the 20-EMA but the negative divergence on the RSI suggests that the bullish momentum may be slowing down. If the price breaks and sustains below the 20-EMA, it will indicate the start of a deeper correction to the 50-SMA.
This remains the key level to watch on the downside because if it cracks, the pair may slump to $5.80. On the upside, the bulls will have to thrust the price above $7.02 to indicate the start of the next leg of the recovery.
Quant (QNT) rose above the breakdown level of $95 on Oct. 23, indicating that the markets have rejected the lower levels. The buying continued and the bulls propelled the price above the downtrend line on Oct. 25. This signals a potential trend change.
QNT/USDT daily chart. Source: TradingView
The short-term bulls seem to be booking profits after the recent rally. That may pull the price down to the downtrend line. This is an important level to keep an eye on because a drop below it may suggest that the rise above the downtrend line may have been a bull trap.
On the contrary, if the price snaps back from the downtrend line, it will suggest that the bulls have flipped the level into support. If buyers clear the hurdle at $110, it will indicate the resumption of the rally to $120 and then to $128.
The 4-hour chart shows that the QNT/USDT pair is facing selling near $108. The bears pulled the price below the 20-EMA, indicating that the short-term traders are booking profits. If the price slips below $103, the pair may drop to $100.
Instead, if bulls sustain the price above the 20-EMA, it will suggest that lower levels continue to attract buyers. The bulls will then make one more attempt to drive the price above $110 and start the next leg of the up-move.
THORChain price analysis
THORChain (RUNE) broke and closed above the overhead resistance of $2 on Oct. 23, completing a bullish inverse head and shoulders pattern.
RUNE/USDT daily chart. Source: TradingView
Both moving averages are sloping up and the RSI is in the overbought zone indicating that bulls remain in command. However, in the short term, the RUNE/USDT pair may enter a minor correction or consolidation.
If the pair does not give up much ground from the current level, it will suggest that the bulls are holding on to their positions. That may improve the prospects of a rally to $3 and subsequently to the pattern target of $3.23. If bears want to prevent this uptrend, they will have to pull and sustain the price below $2.
The pair has been in a strong uptrend with the bulls buying the dips to the 20-EMA. Although the upsloping moving averages indicate advantage to buyers, the negative divergence on the RSI suggests that the bullish momentum may be weakening.
If the price skids below the 20-EMA, it could tempt short-term traders to book profits. That could pull the price to the 50-SMA.
Contrarily, if the price rebounds off the 20-EMA with strength, it will signal that the sentiment remains positive. The bulls will then try to resume the up-move with a break and close above $2.57.

Kirk Cousins #8 of the Minnesota Vikings throws the ball during the first quarter against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field on October 29, 2023 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.(Patrick McDermott/Getty Images)
This is an obvious blow to the Vikings, as their 35-year-old franchise quarterback, who has been playing well during their win streak, is likely out the remainder of the season.Â
Concern came for Cousins in the fourth quarter with the Vikings up, 24-10, when he was sacked by Packers defensive lineman Kenny Clark. Cousins immediately came up hopping off the field, not placing his right leg on the ground at all as he made his way to the bench.Â
Cousins was clearly in pain as trainers quickly went up to him on the bench. He was eventually said to be dealing with an ankle injury, however, replays of the injury occurring saw the calf reverberation that New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers dealt with in Week 1 of this season.Â
Rodgers has been nursing his surgically repaired Achilles, which is why many drew the comparison right away.Â
Cousins finished the game 23 of 31 through the air for 274 yards with two passing touchdowns and no interceptions.Â

With Cousins’ season likely at an end, his 12th campaign in the NFL – sixth with the Vikings – ends with 2,331 passing yards and 18 touchdowns over eight games.Â
As the Vikings try to comprehend Cousins’ loss to their roster, where they go from here at the quarterback position is in limbo. Fifth-round pick Jaren Hall made his league debut on Sunday after Cousins went down, throwing for 23 yards. The BYU product threw for 3,171 yards and 31 touchdowns last season for the Cougars.Â
The NFL trade deadline is on Tuesday, so perhaps the Vikings can make a move for a veteran quarterback to lead the offense the rest of the way. At 4-4, Minnesota certainly has playoff hopes in mind despite losing Cousins.Â

Philadelphia Eagles star receiver A.J. Brown has set a new NFL record after yet another incredible performance that led to a victory.Â
Brown is now the first NFL player in history to have six straight games of 125-plus receiving yards, breaking Hall of Famer Calvin Johnson’s record of five.Â
He accomplished this feat with some dazzling catches along the way to an Eagles 38-31 win over the Washington Commanders.Â

This game was all Commanders at FedExField to start, as they found the end zone in two of their first three drives. But quarterback Jalen Hurts finally got the Eagles into the colored paint when he trusted Brown with a ball to the left side of the end zone despite some solid Washington coverage.Â
Brown, tracking the ball the entire way, made an extremely impressive one-handed grab for a 16-yard touchdown with 34 seconds left in the first half to make it a 14-10 game after the extra point was converted.Â
But Brown wasn’t done. He was just getting started in this game.Â
After a disappointing first drive of the second half for the Eagles, where Hurts fumbled at the one-yard line on Philadelphia’s infamous “tush push” play, the defense forced a punt on the Commanders that got the ball back to the offense quickly. Hurts needed just seven plays to deliver another strike to Brown deep down the left sideline for a 25-yard touchdown to tie the game at 17 apiece.Â
It was Brown’s fifth touchdown catch of the season after hauling in one last week against the Miami Dolphins, where he had 137 yards on 10 catches.Â
Brown would finish this game with 130 yards after catching all eight of his targets from Hurts. This performance puts Brown at 939 yards over eight games, which is only second to Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill, who cracked 1,000 yards receiving on Sunday in Miami’s win over the New England Patriots.Â

But Hurts wasn’t only looking for Brown in this victory that moves the Eagles to 7-1. DeVonta Smith was just a tick shy under 100 yards himself, finishing with seven catches for 99 yards, including a 38-yard touchdown that gave the Eagles a 31-24 lead in the fourth quarter.Â
Hurts was also able to find Julio Jones, whom the Eagles signed last week, for his first touchdown grab of his early Philly tenure. Hurts would finish with 319 yards on 29 of 38 and four passing touchdowns with no interceptions.Â
For the Commanders, quarterback Sam Howell fought all game long to get back their once 14-3 lead in this game. He found Terry McLaurin in this game for the team’s first touchdown, as he launched a beautifully thrown ball for a 26-yard score, where “Scary Terry” leaped and caught. McLaurin had four catches for 45 yards with the score.Â
Jahan Dotson was also eight for 108 with a score, while tight end Logan Thomas had six catches for 44 yards and a touchdown.Â
Jamison Crowder also hauled in a 26-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter when the Commanders were down two touchdowns. Joey Slye attempted the onside kick for the miracle chance, but it was recovered by Smith to seal the victory for Philadelphia.Â

The Eagles, now winners of two straight after dropping their first game of the season to the New York Jets, will have an intriguing matchup next week against the Dallas Cowboys. Meanwhile, the Commanders will travel to Foxborough to take on the Patriots.Â

We live in a time when we are constantly worried about our safety and privacy while searching the internet. Particularly knowing that we have entered our contact and financial information on multiple websites.
What is perhaps most unnerving is learning that our personal information has somehow made its way to a people search site, easily accessed by Google even though we did not choose to give our information to these services.
People-Search sites make your personal information easy to find
It is estimated that there are over 300 million searches a day for personal names and information, accessed by billions of people-search websites indexed by Google.
Understandably, this makes people very concerned about their privacy and just how much information about them is out there and easily accessed by the internet.
Data brokers collect, analyze and sell personal information about you for various purposes. Some of the sources that data brokers use to obtain data are:
Public records: These are documents or information that are available to anyone by law, such as census data, voter registration, court records, property deeds, licenses, etc. Data brokers can access these records online or offline and compile them into databases.
Online activity: This includes the websites you visit, the searches you make, the ads you click on, the products you buy, the reviews you write, the social media posts you like or share, etc.
Data brokers can track your online behavior using cookies, web beacons, device identifiers and other technologies. They can also buy data from other websites or platforms that you use or sign up for.
Offline activity: This includes the purchases you make in physical stores, the subscriptions you have, the surveys you fill out, the loyalty programs you join, the events you attend, etc. Data brokers can obtain this data from retailers, marketers, publishers or other sources that have your consent to share your information.
Data brokers use various methods to link data from different sources and create detailed profiles of individuals. They may use personal identifiers such as name, email address, phone number or Social Security number to match data across sources.
Data brokers sell or license their data products to third parties for various purposes, such as:
People search and background check: Data brokers provide data to help individuals or businesses find or verify information about other people. They may also help conduct background checks for employment, dating, renting, etc.
Marketing and advertising: Data brokers provide data to help marketers and advertisers target potential customers based on their interests, preferences, behaviors, demographics, etc. They may also help measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and optimize ad delivery.
Risk mitigation and fraud prevention: Data brokers provide data to help businesses verify the identity and creditworthiness of customers or partners. They may also help detect and prevent fraud, identity theft, money laundering, etc.
There are few laws that limit what data they can collect and how they can use it. There are also a few ways for you to control or access your own data. Some data brokers offer opt-out options for you if you do not want your data to be collected or shared.
However, these options are often hard to find or use and may not be effective in removing all traces of data from their databases.
This begs the question, is there a way to protect your personal information or at least control how much of your information is accessible via search engines?
Request your personal information be removed from ‘people search’ sites
The answer is yes. While it is possible for you to go to each site and manually request your information be removed, you’d be doing this non-stop. Unfortunately, there is no regulation when it comes to these data brokers; just because you remove your data from the web doesn’t mean the data brokers aren’t going to resell it again months from now.
Invest in removal services
Therefore, investing in removal services is a worthwhile option for protecting your privacy and security online. A hacker can’t easily use you as a target if they can’t find your information on the internet. Data broker sites run by scammers get fed with the personal data a hacker steals from you, including email addresses, Social Security numbers and more. They do this so that they can sell the information to third parties and make a profit.
While no service promises to remove all your data from the internet, subscribing to a good removal service is the most effective way to constantly monitor and automate the process of deleting your information from hundreds of sites continuously.Â
Use Google’s privacy tool to remove your personal information
You can also use Google’s privacy tool to remove your personal information from their search engine. Google’s “Results about You” tool was rolled out last year. Google says it has been working hard to make things better since it first launched its software.Â
It launched with the intention of allowing users to request the removal of personal information that pops up during Google searches. Personal information can include a phone number, email address, address or even unwanted images. You can request the removal of Google search results that divulge your personal information.
One other way to safeguard your personal data from being exposed on “people search” sites is to use alias email addresses. An alias email address is an additional email address that can be used to receive emails in the same mailbox as the primary email address. It acts as a forwarding address, directing emails to the primary email address.
In addition to creating throwaway email accounts for online sign-ups and other circumstances where you would not want to disclose your primary email address, alias email addresses are helpful for handling and organizing incoming communications.
Sometimes, it’s best to create various email aliases so that you don’t have to worry about getting tons of spam mail and having your email eventually stolen in a data breach. An alias email address is a great way for you to stop receiving constant spam mail by simply deleting the email alias address.
“People-search” sites and data brokers pose a serious threat to your privacy and security. They collect, sell and expose your personal information without your consent or knowledge. You can fight back by deleting your data from their databases and using reliable tools and services that safeguard your identity and data.
How do you feel about the way data brokers and “people search” sites collect and use your personal information? Have you ever tried to remove your data from their databases? If so, what was your experience? Let us know by writing us at Cyberguy.com/Contact
